The first Test between India and New Zealand is turning out to be a rollercoaster of a ride. New Zealand shot down India for 46 on Day 2 after rain ruined Day 1 and then Rachin Ravindra scored a brilliant century. Sarfaraz Khan then displayed his class in the second outing with the bat and hit his maiden century in Test cricket. 

Both the players displayed immense positivity in their approach and the centuries would surely go a long way in increasing their stature in world cricket. Sachin Tendulkar, the legend of the game has also now reacted to the hundreds with a heartwarming post for both the youngsters. The Indian superstar mentioned that that the cricket has a way to connect us to our roots and stated that Rachin Ravindra seems to have a special connection with Bengaluru, a place where his parents and grandparents hail from.

Sachin Praises Sarfaraz Khan For Stepping Up For India

Sachin then praised Sarfaraz Khan for stepping up for India when the team needed it the most and added that the future seems to be exciting for both the youngsters. Interestingly, both Rachin Ravindra and Sarfaraz Khan batted at number 4 in the Test match and while Rachin Ravindra scored 134 off 157 balls, Sarfaraz Khan scored 150 off 195 balls.

Sarfaraz Khan played IPL for RCB as a 16-year-old kid while Rachin Ravindra also spent lot of time in Bengaluru cricket clubs, honing his skills when his parents used to bring him to his grandparents' house during his childhood days.
