The Women's T20 World Cup is now at the fag end of its group stage and in the first game of Super Sunday, England Women were up against Scotland Women. The Scottish girls batted first and scored 109 runs in their 20 overs, but it was one interesting moment in the penultimate over of the first innings that stole the limelight.

Nat Sciver-Brunt, the star English all-rounder was the bowler and Katherine Fraser was on strike. It was a slower full delivery, angling into leg. Fraser went for a wild slog, but missed it completely. However, the ball did not miss the stump and kissed it on its way. The bails though remained unmoved and the ball ran away towards the fence for a boundary. It shocked everyone on the field including the batter and both English and Scottish players had a good laugh after the unusual event.

England Stamp Authority With 10-Wicket Win

Fraser did not do much damage though and Scotland ended with a below-par score of 109. Sophie Ecclestone picked two wickets while all other bowlers except Sarah Glenn picked one wicket apiece. In reply, England openers hammered Scotland bowlers all over the park and completed the chase in 10 overs without losing as single wicket. Maia Boucher scored 62 off just 34 balls while Danielle Wyatt-Hodge scored 51 off 26 balls to stamp England's authority. The victory help England continue their winning run while Scotland have ended their World Cup without a single win.
