Gujarat Greats captain Shikhar Dhawan failed to liven up Jammu’s Molana Azad Stadium as he was dismissed for just a single against India Capitals. However, the dashing opening batter made sure to entertain his fans via a cheerful pre-match singing performance.

During a Gujarat Greats training session, Dhawan was spotted making his way out of the field with his cricket gear while singing a renowned Punjabi song for his fans.

Gujarat Greats captain Shikhar Dhawan was spotted singing a Punjabi song ahead of his team’s LLC 2024 match against India Capitals. An entertainer by design, the cricketer smilingly walked out of the field with his cricketing gear after seemingly finishing off his training session.

Shikhar Dhawan scored just one run against India Capitals in Jammu as Gujarat Greats slumped to a last-ball defeat. Overall, the cricketer has tallied just 120 runs from five matches this LLC 2024 season at a dismal strike rate of just 98.36.

Earlier this year, Dhawan announced his retirement from international cricket via an emotional social media post. The legendary left-handed batter played 34 Tests, 167 ODIs and 68 T20I matches for Team India during his playing days between 2010 and December 2022.

A part of India’s victorious 2013 Champions Trophy group, Dhawan also played a crucial role in numerous other white-ball ICC events like the 2017 Champions Trophy and the 2015 and 2019 ICC Cricket World Cups.

Earlier this year, the cricketer played a handful of matches for the Punjab Kings franchise in the IPL 2024 season.
