Team India bulldozed Bangladesh by seven wickets in Gwalior on Sunday, October 6 to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series. Senior all-rounder Hardik Pandya played starring role with the bat after paceman Arshdeep Singh and spinner Varun Chakravarthy restricted Bangladesh to just 127 with astonishing three-wicket hauls.

While the outcome extended India’s unbeaten streak to eight matches, it also marked their 20th win in their last 21 T20I matches, with their sole defeat since December 14, 2023 occurring against Zimbabwe a couple of months ago in Harare.

Notably, the comprehensive win over Bangladesh also helped Team India equal an all-time T20I world record, previously held solely by the Pakistan cricket team.

After Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl first, his bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy picked up three wickets each to envelop Bangladesh’s entire innings for just 127 in 19.5 overs.

The performance helped India equal Pakistan’s T20I world record of bowling out their entire opposition the highest number of times in the format, with both teams achieving the feat 42 times each. Here is a list of top five teams to have bowled out their oppositions line-up the most in T20I cricket:

Hardik Pandya sealed the deal in the 12th over of the innings by making an unbeaten 39 from 16 balls with five boundaries and two sixes.

Suryakumar Yadav and co. will now face Bangladesh in the second T20I of their three-match series on October 9 in New Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.
