Why Has Axar Patel Excluded Jake Fraser-McGurk From DC's Playing XI vs GT?

In the match number 35 of the Indian Premier League 2025, Delhi Capitals are up against Gujarat Titans. Both the teams have done pretty well in the tournament so far, and would be looking to take the momentum forward.

Delhi Capitals Include Jake Fraser-McGurk As Impact Player

Delhi Capitals have made some interesting changes to their line-up, and have only two overseas players in their playing XI as they bat first. One of the exclusions is Jake Fraser-McGurk, and though he can come in as an Impact Player, it looks unlikely, unless their batting line-up fails.

The reason for his exclusion is his poor form in IPL 2025, as he has scored 55 runs in six innings so far. He is known for his power-hitting, and that made him very successful in the last season, and DC were hoping that he can replicate that in this season. However, since that season, he has not done well in the Australian circuit, and that poor form has continued in IPL 2025.

In absence of Jake Fraser-McGurk, Abishek Porel and Karun Nair are opening the innings for DC, and it would be interesting to see how the two Indian batters go about their business. Overall, DC have won five out of their six matches, and with pitch expected to be pretty flat, their batters would be itching to get a huge score.
