Pakistan's veteran bowler Noman Ali drew the first blood for his side in their ongoing Test match against England, dismissing in-form opener Zak Crawley with a beautiful delivery. The left-arm spinner deceived Crawley with his flight, making him pay for his expansive drive in the Multan Test. 

The incident occurred during the 13th over of England's first innings after the hosts were bundled out for a respectable 366-run total. The visitors had a fabulous start with the bat, as Crawley and Ben Duckett formed a counterattacking 73-run stand for the first wicket. However, Noman Ali's disciplined bowling effort worked wonders, with the prominent spinner getting rid of Crawley with a well-disguised delivery. 

From around the wicket, Noman Ali tossed the ball up, inviting Zak Crawley for a drive. The batter fell for it, edging the ball behind, where Mohammad Rizwan took a simple catch. 


However, interestingly, Rizwan was unaware of Crawley edging the ball, which Noman Ali was confident about. So, as soon as the wicketkeeper caught the ball, Noman and Agha Salman forced skipper Shan Masood to opt for the DRS. 

As a result, Masood went upstairs to challenge the on-field umpire's not-out decision. The ultra-edge showed a clear spike in the replay, prompting the TV umpire to overturn the original decision. 

Duckett's Breezy Fifty Ensures England's Brisk Start

Although Crawley failed to convert his start into a big score, his opening partner Ben Duckett sustained his dream run, slamming a scintillating fifty in just 47 balls. After Crawley's departure, vice-captain Ollie Pope joined Duckett in the middle. At the time of writing, England were 88 for one, with Pope and Duckett batting on 5* and 53*, respectively.
