In a move that promises to bring the cricketing carnival back to Mumbai, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced that ticket sales for the third and final Test match between India and New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium will commence on Friday, October 18 at 12:00 PM (IST).

Tickets Sale For IND vs NZ 3rd Test In Mumbai To Start On Friday

This much-anticipated clash, scheduled from November 1-5, is set to be a grand return of Test cricket at the Wankhede Stadium, last witnessing action between these two sides in December 2021. For fans in Mumbai, this encounter represents a rare opportunity to witness cricket’s longest format in their backyard after a three-year hiatus.

A Generous Gesture By MCA for Budding Cricketers

The MCA has struck a chord with the local community by extending free passes to young fans from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) schools, along with semi-finalists from the Harris and Giles Shield tournaments.

Spearheaded by MCA president Ajinkya Naik, the initiative received unanimous support from the apex council in a recent meeting, which displayed a heartfelt commitment to creating a passion for cricket in the city’s younger generation.

Affordable Ticketing Options for Fans

Keeping fan interest at the forefront, MCA has rolled out a range of affordable ticket options for the general public. Season passes for the iconic North Stand, Sachin Tendulkar Stand, and Vijay Merchant Stand are priced at Rs 1,500, while tickets for the Sunil Gavaskar Stand are set at Rs 325 for the east lower section and Rs 625 for the east upper section. For many, this provides a golden opportunity to catch live action from some of the best vantage points in the stadium.

Rain Pours Cold Water on Series Start in Bengaluru

While anticipation runs high for the Mumbai showdown, the India vs New Zealand Test series has encountered a bumpy start. Day 1 of the first Test in Bengaluru faced a washout due to rain, with the first session called off.

Both teams and fans were left high and dry as rain took centre stage, and forecasts suggest it could continue for the first two days, potentially jeopardizing early momentum for both sides.

While India and New Zealand are all set to resume their battle for supremacy, fans can only hope the weather takes a back seat, allowing the cricket to do the talking on the field.
