MS Dhoni's run out vs LSG (Source:@CricCrazyJohns/X.com)
MS Dhoni and his cricketing mind and unbelievable skills with gloves have never been in doubt. The man is now 43-year-old, but is still going strong, and it was on display again in the game between LSG and CSK.
43-Year-Old Runs Out Abdul Samad With His Vintage Skills
In the final over of LSG's innings, Matheesha Pathirana bowled a full delivery down the leg side. Abdul Samad was the batter and he left it, but Rishabh Pant tried to steal a bye and get to the batter's end. Dhoni somehow managed to stop the ball and sensed that there is a chance to run out Samad at the bowler's end.
The CSK skipper with his ultra cool approach came up with an under-arm throw without much fuss and the ball hit directly at the stumps on the bowler's end, leaving Abdul Samad short of his crease. Dhoni, over the years, has pulled off some amazing run-outs, but to pull this one off at the age of 43 is surely a stuff of dreams for most of the cricketers in the world.
Abdul Samad departed for 20 off 11 balls, and Pant who tried to take the strike, also departed on the next ball. Pant scored 63 off 49 balls and LSG managed to score 166 in their allotted 20 overs.
