In the fifth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, Islamabad United are locking horns with Peshawar Zalmi at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Islamabad, who won the toss and opted to bat first, have dominated the contest so far with a blistering batting display.

Sahibzada Farhan led the charge with a remarkable knock, slamming 106 runs off just 52 balls, including 13 fours and five sixes. His innings laid a strong foundation for Islamabad’s high-scoring first innings.

Sahibzada Farhan Races To Become Joint-Fastest In Elite List!

Sahibzada Farhan reached his century in just 49 deliveries, equalling the record for the fastest century by an Islamabad United batter in PSL history, originally set by Cameron Delport. The South African achieved the feat against Lahore Qalandars in the 2019 edition of the tournament.

Farhan's record-equalling knock was not just a personal milestone but also significantly boosted Islamabad United’s total. His aggressive start ensured that the team maintained a scoring rate above 11 runs per over. He was eventually dismissed for 106 off 52 balls, caught by Hussain Talat off Alzarri Joseph’s bowling in the 14th over.

Farhan Blitz And Munro Power Mog Zalmi

Sahibzada Farhan took charge from the outset, counterattacking with boundaries all around the ground. He formed a 144-run stand with Colin Munro that shifted all the pressure back on Zalmi.

With Farhan’s explosive hundred and Colin Munro’s brisk 40 off 27 balls, Islamabad posted 235/5 in 19 overs at the time of writing.

Ali Raza went for 45 in his three overs, and Sufiyan Muqeem leaked 35 in three. With one over to go, Islamabad are well on course to breach the 240-run mark. Jason Holder is currently at the crease and Islamabad look set to post a mammoth total against the Zalmis.
