On Friday, October 18, Pakistan registered their first Test win at home in nearly four years as the Shan Masood-led side beat England by 152 runs to level the series 1-1.

In the recently concluded match, Pakistan underwent several changes, including the ouster of Babar Azam. The decision proved to be a masterstroke as spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan, who were playing their first match of the series, shone with the ball and entered the history books.

Sajid Khan And Noman Ali Script History

Notably, Sajid and Noman took all 20 wickets in the match and became the second Pakistani duo to take all wickets among themselves in a Test match. In the first innings, Sajid was the pick of the bowler for his seven-wicket haul, while Noman took three wickets.

In the 2nd innings, it was the other way around, and Noman Ali registered an eight-wicket haul, which is also the best bowling figure by a Pakistani bowler in a Test match at Multan Stadium. Meanwhile, Sajid took two wickets.

Other than Sajid and Noman, Fazal Mahmood & Khan Mohammad were the first to do so in 1956 against Australia in Karachi. Overall, Noman and Sajid are the seventh bowling pair to take all 20 wickets and the first one since 1972 to script this special feat. The last such instance was by Dennis Lillee & Bob Massie vs England in 1972.
