The rain has again interrupted the proceedings of the opening Test of the three-match series between India and New Zealand after the Kiwi bowlers removed three Indian batters in the 12.4 overs bowled on Day 2. India are reeling at 13-3 with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Sarafraz Khan all back to the hut.

The delay is not expected to be long and it is just a slight drizzle and with brilliant drainage system at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, we can expect the match to start quickly after the rain stops. There was no cricket possible on Day 1 due to rain, and the match started 15 minutes earlier on Day 2 to cover up the overs lost on the first day.

New Zealand Pacers Make Early Impact

India won the toss and decided to bat first on a dry looking pitch. However, with overcast conditions in Bengaluru, New Zealand pacers exploited the conditions beautifully and Rohit Sharma was cleaned by Southee with a beauty. Kohli was promoted to number 3 in the absence of Shubman Gill but he fell for a duck and Sarfaraz Khan also could not trouble the scorers as Conway grabbed a stunning catch to send him back to the hut.

Update - Rain has Stopped in Bengaluru and Play will resume at 11.05 IST if there is no further showers before the resumption. Lunch will be taken at 12 PM IST!
