On Monday, April 14, Peshawar Zalmi locked horns against Islamabad United at the Rawalpindi Stadium in Pakistan. The defending champions won the toss and opted to bat first. The decision turned out to be gold as United went all guns blazing with the bat.
The Shadab Khan-led side, batting first, put 243 runs on the board. Opener Sahibzada Farhan was breathing fire as he scored 106 (52), which featured 123 fours and five sixes. Meanwhile, Peshawar fans also expected a similar style of batting from Babar Azam and Saim Ayub.
However, Babar once again registered a flop show as he returned to the pavilion with a score of 1 (3). On the first ball of the 2nd over, Ben Dwarshius got rid of Azam, as Jason Holder took a simple catch at slips. Watch the wicket here.
Not A Great Start for Babar In PSL
Babar Azam has got off to the worst possible start in PSL 10 as he had registered a duck in Zalmi's opening match of Pakistan Super League. Now, the Pakistan star batter and former captain has just 1 run in two matches.
Further, in the ongoing match, Babar had a poor day in the field as he dropped one of the simplest catch of the tournament. At the time of writing this article, Peshawar Zalmi are 20/2 after 3.1 overs and still require 222 runs to win.
