Pakistan is taking on England in the second Test of the three match series at the Multan Cricket Ground. England have been boosted by the presence of their regular Test skipper Ben Stokes in this game. They are riding high on confidence from the convincing win in the previuous game.

Shan Masood, the skipper of the Pakistan won the toss ahead of the game and decided to bat first. Pakistan would have eyed a solid start in this match and a lot of that depended on the openers Abdullah Shafique and Saim Ayub.

The opening duo of Pakistan made a slow and steady start. Seeing that the pacers are not getting much from the track, Ben Stokes introduced Jack Leach into the attack.

The set up by Jack Leach

The left arm spinner set the prefet trap in the eight over for the Shafique. On the first delivery of the over, Leach bowled a full delivery at the stumps. The batter defended it towards the mid-on fielder. This was followed by a delivery outside the off stump, turning away from the batter. Shafique played inside the line of the ball and even though got beaten on the outside edge, he survived.

The wicket delivery

After these two deliveries, Leach bowled the thrid ball at the off stump line and gave it just enough rip to slightly turn it away from the batter. Shafique once again played inside the line and got beaten on the inside edge. The ball crashed into the off stump of the batter and ended his stay in the middle. It was perfect set up for a left-arm orthodox spinner to a right handed batter.
