After Mohammed Siraj was appointed as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the Hyderabad Police, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) celebrated the occasion in their signature style by posting a creative poster featuring Siraj in a James Bond-inspired avatar. The graphic showed Siraj in a tuxedo, symbolising his fearless persona both on and off the field.

Mohammed Siraj's dying career was saved by RCB and Virat Kohli's unwavering support as they retained him despite abysmal bowling figures. He transformed into a lethal pacer with the new ball and repaid the faith. Siraj soon transitioned into the national team and became India's lead fast bowler across all formats and also won the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Having said that, to recognise Mohammed Siraj's achievements in cricket, Hyderabad police honoured him with the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) post. With this announcement, Siraj joins a select group of athletes in India who have been honoured with prestigious roles in law enforcement.

Meanwhile, Siraj's IPL franchise, RCB also shared a playful social media post. They shared a poster depicting Siraj as English spy James Bond, a fitting salute to a player whose journey reflects courage, dedication, and success.

While the post was humorous, the gesture by RCB reflects the team's admiration for Siraj, not just as a fast bowler but also for his journey from humble beginnings to becoming a role model for many.

Siraj likely to miss the New Zealand Test series

India's Test squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand, was announced by the BCCI. The selectors have opted to retain the same squad from their previous Test series against Bangladesh.

However, reports suggest that Mohammed Siraj, who had a relatively quiet series against Bangladesh with only 4 wickets in two Tests, might be rested for the first Test. India may opt to manage his workload, especially with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia looming next month.
