Fresh off a commanding seven-wicket victory in the series opener in Gwalior, the Suryakumar Yadav-led Team India arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport on Monday, October 7, ahead of their second T20I match against Bangladesh.

The Men in Blue were met by enthusiastic supporters who cheered them on as they exited the airport and boarded the team bus. India’s win in the first T20I showcased both bowling and batting dominance.

With a 1-0 lead, India aims to seal the series in the second T20I in Delhi. The match is anticipated to be another thrilling encounter, with the hosts keen to showcase their batting firepower on a pitch that historically supports high-scoring games.

Recap Of India's Dominance In The First T20I Vs Bangladesh

Earlier in the match, Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to field and restricted Bangladesh to 127 runs. Bangladesh’s innings saw a solid start but lacked momentum, with top scorer Mehidy Hasan Miraz remaining unbeaten on 35 off 32 balls.

Despite his efforts, Najmul Hossain Shanto contributed 27 runs from 25 deliveries. Bangladesh’s batting lineup struggled to build partnerships, ultimately falling short of setting a competitive target.

Hardik Pandya Shines In The Chase

During the chase, the Indian batting lineup displayed poise and aggression. Opener Sanju Samson set the pace early and scored 29 off 19 balls. Captain Suryakumar Yadav followed up with an explosive 29 off 14 deliveries, decorated with two fours and three sixes.

However, Hardik Pandya stole the show, as he played an unbeaten 39 runs off just 16 balls, including five fours and two sixes, leading India to victory in just 11.5 overs.
