The latest ICC rankings are out and while the likes of Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya gained points in the rankings, it was Rohit Sharma, who had a downfall and slipped five places down in the Test position.

Before the rankings were out, Rohit was at the 10th position, but has now slipped 5 place down to 15th position, with 693 points. He had an average series against Bangladesh, and despite India wining the Test series, 2-0, Rohit wasn't at his fluent best and failed to notch up a single fifty-plus scores.

Last month, Rohit was in the top-10, but four innings with no significant scores has led to his downfall in the Test rankings.

On the other hand, another Indian star has been eyeing the number one spot in Test rankings. Jaiswal has moved two places up to 3rd position, with 792 points, and with the New Zealand series coming up, he certainly has a great chance to keep going up and perhaps challenge Joe Root for the top spot.

Jaiswal scored twin fifties in the Kanpur Test Vs Bangladesh, and was one of the reasons as to why India were able to win the series.

Other notable changes in rankings

In other notable changes, Sri Lanka's Kamindu Mendis has gained position in the Test spot. He has moved 5 spots to the 11th position, and is certainly playing like Don Bradman, at-least in his early playing career.

Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan has climbed a solitary position to 7th spot, however, he was dismissed for a duck in the first innings of the England Test and will most likely drop down once again.
