IPL 18 has already become a topic of discussion among the fans. One of the prime reasons behind IPL 2025 grabbing the attention of fans and followers is the mega-auction ahead of the season. 

The BCCI recently announced the retention rules for the franchise and set 31st October as the last date to give out their retained players' list. The retentions, releases and the buying of players in the mega auction is set to bring about a lot of changes in the team dynamics. 

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, one of the most popular franchises of the grand league will be looking to restructure their side ahead of the next season. Despite showing great promise in the last few seasons, RCB are yet to win their maiden IPL title. 

The followers of the franchise will be eagerly waiting for the list of the retained players for IPL 2025. As far as the reports from PTI are concerned, RCB will be retaining three players.

There has been discussions about RCB releasing Mohammed Siraj ahead of the next season. He has been struggling with form and rhythm for the past few months. However, if the reports are to believed, the RCB management will show their trust on the Indian pace. Notably, Siraj has played 87 matches for RCB and has picked up 83 wickets in them. He has become an integral part of the RCB set-up and to maintain a settled core, they might look to retain him.

2. Faf du Plessis

The South African superstar took up the leadership of the franchise after Virat Kohli stepped down from the role. Even though RCB did not win the trophy under Faf du Plessis, they did well under him. Besides, du Plessis has established himself at as a solid opener of the team. In the 45 matches that he has played for the franchise, Faf has scored 1,636 runs at an average of 38.05 and a strike rate of 146.99. 

1. Virat Kohli

The Indian superstar has been an integral part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He has played for the franchise since the inception of the tournament. Virat Kohli has played 252 matches for RCB and has scored 8,004 runs for them at an average of 38.67 and a strike rate of 131.97. He has become synonymous with the franchise and will be a key part of their plan to groom the new recruits.
