Rohit Sharma is one of the coolest personalities in Indian cricket and it was on full display during the 1st Test between India and New Zealand in Bengaluru. Since the day Rohit lost his IPL captaincy to Hardik Pandya, fans have speculated that the India legend will try and leave the Mumbai Franchise.

Rohit indeed played under Hardik's leadership in 2024 IPL season but there were reports that the two cricketers had animosity with each other which affected the performance of the side. With the IPL mega auction coming up, speculations have once again risen that Rohit will look to leave MI, so that he can lead a different IPL side, however, Mumbai Indians have denied such rumours.

During the first Test in Bengaluru, one of the RCB fans in the stadium asked Rohit, which team will you play in IPL?.

Rohit replied: "Where do you want"?, as the fan immediately asked him to come and play for RCB. Hearing the fans' demand, Rohit gave a cheeky smile and went ahead to the dugout.

IND-NZ Bengaluru Test evenly poised

Despite getting bundled out for a paltry 46, India are still in commanding position on Day 4. The Indian batters showed brilliant grit and determination to fight it out against some brilliant New Zealand bowling.

New Zealand scored 402 in their first innings, courtesy of a stellar ton from Rachin Ravindra. In their second innings, India had a mountain to climb, but the foundation of a comeback was laid by Rohit Sharma, who departed after scoring a quick-fire fifty.

The good work was carried on by Virat Kohli and Sarfaraz Khan, as the duo added more than 100-runs for the third wicket, before Kohli was dismissed on the last ball of Day 3. The start of Day 4 belonged to rising star, Sarfaraz Khan, who slammed his maiden Test ton before rain interrupted the contest.
