In a significant development, a BCCI insider spoke to senior sports journalist Abhishek Tripathi and refuted the reports of the PCB sending the latest proposal to the Roger Binny-led board, which talked about India returning to Delhi or Chandigarh after each match to avoid staying in Pakistan due to security concerns.

The report, first published by Cricbuzz on October 18, read that the Pakistani ministers even discussed India's participation in Champions Trophy 2025 with India's external affairs minister, S Jaishankar, while the latter was in Pakistan recently.

In the latest events, Tripathi, who writes for Dainik Jagran, shed light on the matter and remarked that one of the BCCI insiders told Jagran that the board has not received any form of  proposal from the Pakistan Cricket Board. Latest Update Regarding Champions Trophy 2025

Up until now, the update regarding Champions Trophy 2025 is that BCCI is uninterested in sending India to Pakistan due to security concerns and is looking for a hybrid model or the tournament to be shifted out of Pakistan.

Recently, there were reports that the ICC is mulling to move the prestigious fifty-over tournament completely out of Pakistan. It is a big blow for PCB and Pakistan as the latest reports suggest that the ICC is exploring an option of moving the tournament to Dubai, Sri Lanka or even South Africa.

According to the report, the ICC is preparing three different budgets for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. One for hosting it in Pakistan, the other one for a hybrid model and the latest for completely moving the tournament out of Pakistan.
