Team India found itself under the pump after getting bowled out for just 46 runs in the first innings of the Bengaluru against New Zealand. Despite the Kiwis being in control with a 356-run lead, India fought back aggressively in the third inning courtesy to Sarfaraz Khan's bravery. 

He was part of two vital partnerships with Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant that propelled India into a 106-run lead. In the process, Sarfaraz Khan slammed his maiden century in international cricket and celebrated it like there was no tomorrow. He got a tight and emotional hug from Pant on the other end as the teammates stood in applause in the dressing room.

Sarfaraz Khan was dismissed after hitting 150 off 195 deliveries and walked off to a standing ovation. While India collapsed shortly after his dismissal, Khan's individual brilliance will be remembered for ages.

Sarfaraz Khan finally seized his long-awaited opportunity and delivered a brilliant maiden Test century, rescuing India from a precarious situation in the ongoing Test match against New Zealand. 

The young Mumbai batter's 150-run knock was a game-changer, especially after he was dismissed for a duck in the first innings. Sarfaraz's innings were especially noteworthy as he became only the ninth Indian cricketer to score a century and a duck in the same Test match, joining an elite group of players that includes Virat Kohli and Sunil Gavaskar.
