On Tuesday, New Zealand will cross swords against the defending champions Australia in match 10 of the ongoing Women's T20 World Cup edition. The much-awaited clash between the Trans-Tasman rivals will take place at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Led by Alyssa Healy, Australia Women had a magnificent start to their T20 World Cup campaign, registering a convincing six-wicket win over Sri Lanka in their opening fixture. After being invited to bowl first, Australia showcased commendable bowling prowess, restricting the Lankans to a paltry 93-run total. The star-studded Aussies weren't going to be bothered by the target anyway. So, despite losing four wickets, they eventually chased the target with 34 balls remaining, thanks to a valiant knock from the reliable Beth Mooney. 

However, barring the southpaw, none of the Australian batters looked in rhythm on Sharjah's spin-friendly deck. Therefore, batting is something they should address before taking on the in-form Kiwis, who stunned a strong Indian outfit with their clinical all-round prowess.

The rampant pace-bowling duo of Rosemary Mair and Lea Tahuhu would be keen to extend their purple patch, while the eyes will also be on Eden Carson, who scalped some key Indian wickets with her wily spin bowling. 

Meanwhile, ace all-rounder Amelia Kerr would like to regain her mojo, considering she had underwhelming outings with bat and ball against Harmanpreet Kaur's troops.
