Pakistan's premier batter Babar Azam sustained his rough patch in Tests, as he was dismissed for 30 runs in the ongoing match against England at Multan Cricket Stadium. Coming at number four, Babar struck five glorious boundaries before Chris Woakes concluded his 71-ball stay in the middle. 

The incident occurred during the 85th over of Pakistan's first innings when England desperately needed someone to break the budding stand between Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel. As soon as the second new ball was taken, England's stand-in captain Ollie Pope brought Chris Woakes back for a final spell. 

His strategy worked wonders for the Englishmen, as the experienced seamer got Babar Azam's valuable wicket. After starting his over with a good length delivery, Woakes shaped the ball away from Babar, beating him on his defence. 


He followed it up with a lethal nip-backer, that struck Babar on his front pad as the batter shuffled across the stumps to play a flick shot. As soon as the English players appealed for an LBW, the on-field umpire raised his finger, declaring Babar out. 

Babar Azam decided to go upstairs and challenge the decision. However, the TV umpire upheld the on-field decision, with the HawkEye predicting three reds in the replay. Thus, Babar Azam wasted a valuable DRS review, making his way back to the hut for 30 runs.
