On Saturday, India-A will cross swords against Pakistan-A in their first match of the ongoing Emerging Asia Cup. The much-anticipated contest will be played at Oman's Al Amerat Cricket Ground.

Led by Tilak Varma, India-A have a formidable squad comprising several outright match-winners. The team includes numerous renowned IPL players, including Abhishek Sharma, Anuj Rawat, Ayush Badoni and Nehal Wadhera. Vaibhav Arora and the young Rasikh Salam will lead India's pace attack, while Rahul Chahar, R Sai Kishore and Hrithik Shokeen will spearhead the spin bowling department.

On the other hand, Mohammad Haris will captain Pakistan A in the competition. Barring the hard-hitting batter, Pakistan have quality and depth in their batting lineup, with Haider Ali and Omair Yousuf present in the squad.

21-year-old Qasim Akram will be their key all-rounder, while Abbas Afridi and Shahnawaz Dahani will lead the pace battery alongside Zaman Khan. The eyes will also be on Sufiyan Muqeem, who can bamboozle the opponents with his wily wrist spin.

So, as the stage is set for a cracking battle, let's see how the surface at Al Amerat Cricket Ground will behave throughout the contest.

Al Amerat Cricket Ground Pitch Report

The pitch at Al Amerat Cricket Ground will offer minimal seam movement to fast bowlers. The batters will enjoy the track's even pace and bounce, which will help them score runs with the new ball.

However, the conditions might get trickier for batting as the game progresses. The pitch will offer some turn to the spinners, while the fast bowlers can be effective with their cutters and slow balls.

Spinners will also play a significant role in the second half, and how both sides bat in the middle overs will determine the game's outcome. However, considering the chasing sides have been more successful (60 wins as compared to 39 by teams batting first) and the pitch doesn't change with time, the toss-winner will likely bowl first.
