India showcased why they are the World Cup winners against Bangladesh as the Suryakumar Yadav-led side hammered The Tigers in the third T20I to whitewash the series 3-0. The Men in Blue had a near-perfect series, but still, a few gaps are there that were exploited against Bangladesh.

There were a few players who failed to make a mark and now fear being dropped for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa starting on November 8. Here is the list of three players who are likely to be dropped for the coming tour.

1. Abhishek Sharma

Abhishek Sharma, who was the star performer for India during the Zimbabwe tour and hit a century, had a series to forget as he scored just 35 runs in three matches. His highest score was 16 (7), which came in the first T20I.

While other batters excelled, Sharma was the only one who couldn't utilize the opportunity at the top of the order.

2. Shivam Dube

Shivam Dube, who was a part of the T20 World Cup 2024 winning squad, did not get a chance in the first T20I against Bangladesh and then was ruled out of the series because of a back injury.

Irrespective of the injury, it is unlikely that Dube will get a chance as he has slipped behind in the pecking order in the list of all-rounders India currently have. Further, with Nitish Reddy shining in his debut series, it has made things difficult for Dube.

3. Jitesh Sharma

Jitesh, who travelled with the team as a back-up keeper, is unlikely to be picked for the South African tour. Rishabh Pant might come in or might be left out because of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but India would look for other options as Sharma did not get a solitary chance in this series as well.
