India are currently playing against New Zealand in the first Test of the three match series at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The visitors have put India on the back foot with Rachin Ravindra being the destructor in chief.

The young left-handed batter has scored a brilliant Hundred and has laid the foundation for New Zealand to take a huge lead and set up a historic win on Indian soil. The innings played by Ravindra had two phases in it. While at the beginning he showed composure and patience, Ravindra took the attack to the Indian bowlers as his team lost a few wickets in a bunch.

The overall maturity shown by Ravindra during the knock will make him a prime target of many teams during the IPL 2025 mega auction. However, RCB should look to buy him and here are three reasons why they should go hard after him during the event.

3. Flexibility in batting approach

Rachin Ravindra has shown that he can adjust his gameplay as per the situation of the match and deliver for his team. RCB has long suffered from the lack of players who can bat according to the demands of the match. Ravindra's presence will not only provide solidity to the batting line-up but will also give the team management flexibility and dynamism to work with as per the situation of the match.

2. Completing the reported retentions

As per the lates reports, RCB might retain Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj. This means that they will let go of Cameron Green, Will Jacks and Glenn Maxwell. While they might target to re-buy a couple of these three players in the auction, Rachin Ravindra will be a great replacement option. Ravindra has already proven himself as an able batter, and he can also bowl a couple of effective overs if and when the team needs it. Thus buying him will give RCB the dynamism of a batting all-rounder that they always prefer to have in their side.

1. Record at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium

Rachin Ravindra has his origins from Bengaluru. He has shown his liking to the ground whenever he has come out to bat the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. In ODIs, Ravindra has played a couple of matches at the venue and has scored 150 runs in then with a century. He has played a single match in the IPL at this venue and scored a well complied 61 in it. The first time he has walked out to bat at the venue in the longest format of the game, he has already notched up a dynamic Hundred. His liking for the venue will prove beneficial for RCB if they decide to buy him during the mega auction.
