The Pakistan Super League, renowned for its fiercely competitive contests and razor-thin margins, consistently delivers high-octane cricketing drama. Yet, amid the intensity, certain encounters have witnessed overwhelming dominance, where one side has comprehensively outclassed the other.

Celebrating the rich history of the PSL, here’s a look at five of the biggest wins recorded by teams in the tournament, measured by margin of runs.

5. Islamabad United 102 runs vs Peshawar Zalmi, PSL 2025

Islamabad United handed Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi a 102-run larruping in match five of the PSL 2025 season in Rawalpindi. Batting first, the United franchise mounted 243-5 from 50 overs, courtesy of a 52-ball 106-run knock from opening batter Sahibzada Farhan. Agha Salman, Jason Holder and Ben Dwarshuis also smeared blistering cameos during the slog overs.

In response, captain Babar scored just one as the entire Zalmi line-up crumbled for 141 in 18.2 overs, despite featuring a 47-ball 87 from Mohammad Haris. Imad Wasim unfurled the spell of the match with figures of 3-26, while Dwarshuis and Shadab Khan chipped in with two wickets each.

4. Lahore Qalandars 110 runs vs Islamabad United, PSL 2023

Back during the middle stages of the PSL 2023 season, the Islamabad United franchise found itself at the receiving end of the stick by falling to a 110-run crushing from Lahore Qalandars. The Qalandars batted first and amassed 200-7 from 20 overs. Notably, no Qalandars batter secured a half-century in the high-scoring innings, with Abdullah Shafique’s 24-ball 45 turning out to be their biggest benefactor in Lahore.

Chasing 201, the Islamabad United folded up for 90 in less than 14 overs, with 17 extras making the third biggest contribution after Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s 23 and Colin Munro’s 18. David Wiese, Rashid Khan and Sikandar Raza picked up seven wickets between them to initiate United’s collapse.

3. Multan Sultans 110 runs vs Quetta Gladiators, PSL 2021

Multan Sultans inflicted a 110-run hammering on Quetta Gladiators in Abu Dhabi during match 25 of the PSL 2021 season. Notably, the outcome marked the first-ever win margin of over 100 runs for any team in PSL history. Shan Masood’s 42-ball 73 and Johnson Charles’ 24-ball 47 engineered the Sultans to 183-5 from 20 overs after being put into bat first.

Later in the run-chase, Multan Sultans bowlers Imran Tahir (3-7), Imran Khan (2-13) and Blessing Muzarabani (1-8) bundled out Sarfaraz Ahmed’s Gladiators troops for just 73 in 12.1 overs.

2. Multan Sultans 117 runs vs Quetta Gladiators, PSL 2022

The following year in PSL 2022, the Quetta Gladiators suffered an even harsher fate at the hands of Mohammad Rizwan’s Multan Sultans, doing so during match 25 of the competition at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Batting first, the Sultans made 245-3 from 20 overs, with openers Shan Masood (57 off 38) and Rizwan (83* off 54) both belting scintillating half-centuries. Rilee Rossouw at number three also blasted 71 from just 26 with nine boundaries and four sixes.

In response, the Gladiators dusted out for 128 in less than 16 overs, courtesy of two wickets each from Asif Afridi, David Willey, Shahnawaz Dahani and Khushdil Shah. Notably, Umar Akmal cracked a 23-ball 50 and firebrand opener Jason Roy made 38 from just 19 as the two cricketers themselves accounted for 88 out of the team’s 128-run total.

1. Lahore Qalandars 119 runs vs Islamabad United, PSL 2023

Lahore Qalandars, backed by opening batter Fakhar Zaman’s explosive and six-ladened 57-ball 115, charted 226-5 from 20 overs against Islamabad United at Rawalpindi in match number 26 of the IPL 2023 season. Kamran Ghulam and Sam Billings also clattered quick runs during the middle overs.

The Islamabad United’s run-chase never took off as they folded up for just 107 well inside their quota of overs, with no batter managing to scale the 20-run mark. Rashid Khan picked up four wickets at an expense of just 21 runs, while fast bowlers Zaman Khan and Haris Rauf claimed two wickets each as the Qalandars secured a huge 119-run win, an all-time PSL record margin to date.
