Meanwhile, Chamari Athapaththu's Sri Lanka Women are in a desperate situation, languishing at the bottom of the table after back-to-back defeats. Their tournament began with a 31-run loss to Pakistan Women, and they were subsequently outclassed by the reigning champions, Australia Women, who handed them a six-wicket defeat. 

With no points to their name, Sri Lanka needs a win to revive their campaign and keep their tournament hopes alive.
