Yusuf Pathan is known for his power-hitting and has the knack of producing match-winning performances with the bat with his brute power. He is now playing for Konark Suryas Odisha in Legends League Cricket 2024, and in the Qualifer 1, he produced a blistering knock of 43 off 21 balls to take his team out of the trouble and post a competitive total on the board.

Konark Suryas Odisha are up against Southern Superstars and got off to a disastrous start to their innings while batting first as they lost four wickets for just eight runs. They wee five down for 53 and then walked Yusuf Pathan onto the field and build a solid stand with his brother Irfan Pathan and the duo brought the team back on track. Irfan scored 62 off 47 balls while Yusuf hit 3 fours and 4 sixes in his knock.

Yusuf Pathan Targets Kedar Jadhav's Part-Time Off Break

Two of those sixes came against Kedar Jadhav in a single over and it was vintage Yusuf Pathan, hitting the ball with great ease into the crowd. The first six came off a sweep shot as Kedar bowled it full on off. The ball went sailing over the deep square leg fence. Kedar Jadhav then tried to use his experience and bowled it full and wide outside off. However, Yusuf Pathan was ready, he fetched the ball from outside off and tonked it over long on to make it two in a row. 

However, the target of 148 set by Odisha did not prove enough and Southern Super Stars chase down the target in the 18th over with a loss of just seven wickets. Hamilton Masakadza scored  67 off 49 balls while Pawan Negi hit 40 off 20 balls to take his side over the line.
