Laura Wolvaardt is a Virat Kohli fan!

Ahead of their final league fixture against Bangladesh Women, captain Laura Wolvaardt appeared in ICC’s ‘Glimpse into the Past’ themed video, where the host selected old pictures of several players and asked them to sign them.

For Laura, the host had a throwback picture of her posing with her cricketing idol, Virat Kohli. India’s finest generational talent, Kohli, has a massive global fanbase that includes several former and present cricketers as well with Wolvaardt being one of them. As soon as she saw the picture, she said, ‘My favourite player.’

Wolvaardt, who made her debut for South Africa at a young age, has drawn on Virat Kohli’s approach in her own career. She is known for her elegant and composed style of batting, and much like Kohli, she possesses a strong desire to win and contribute to her team’s success.
