The stage is set to witness the two heavyweights, India Women and Australia Women go neck to neck with one another in the 18th clash of the ongoing Women's T20 World Cup 2024 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah on Sunday, 13 October.

In their recent encounters, Australia Women have dominated India Women, winning four out of the last five T20Is. In 2024, Australia secured victories by 7 wickets and 6 wickets, showcasing their strong form. However, India made a significant comeback with a 9-wicket win in the same year, breaking Australia's winning streak.

India started poorly in the tournament losing to New Zealand Women.  But it gained momentum and bounced back rather strongly in the Women's World Cup with two consecutive wins against Pakistan and then Sri Lanka. It defeated Sri Lanka by 82 runs with heroics by Harmanpreet Kaur, who posted a brilliant half-century and won the Player of the Match.

India is looking to build on the pace set here as they take on world champions Australia, who are yet to drop a game in this campaign.  It's going to be an electrifying battle as both teams battle it out, let's take a look at the weather predictions for this clash.
