Veteran Indian cricketer Virat Kohli showcased his excellent fielding skills for the umpteenth time, as he took a marvellous reflex catch to help Ravindra Jadeja dismiss Romario Shepherd in the ongoing 1st ODI against West Indies. Regarded as a fine fielder, Kohli earned massive accolades from all corners of the world following his stupendous effort. 

The incident happened in the 18th over when Indian captain Rohit Sharma deployed Ravindra Jadeja to rattle the hosts from one end. Jadeja, who had just dismissed Rovman Powell, thanks to a good catch from Shubman Gill, jolted West Indies with another massive blow, removing Shepherd for a two-ball duck. 

Jadeja delivered a full length delivery, which turned sharply to lure Shepherd for a drive. The batter fell in the trap, edging the ball to the slips in this process. However, considering the ball was travelling fast, it needed a superb effort from Kohli, stationed at the second slip. 

The former Indian captain didn't let his team down, as he took a sharp reflex catch by diving to his right and leaving Shepherd shell-shocked. 

Riding on Jadeja's bowling heroics, India have rattled West Indies in the first ODI at the iconic Kensington Oval in Barbados. As of writing, the hosts are reeling at 114 for eight, with Shai Hope and Gudakesh Motie batting on 43* and 0*, respectively.
