The first ODI between India and West Indies has started on a wrong foot for the Windies as they have lost early wickets again, thanks to some disciplined bowling by the Indians and some careless strokeplay from the West Indies batters.

West Indies were put to bat by Rohit Sharma in a hope to get some early wickets and Hardik Pandya did exactly that, with a big wicket of Mayers in the third over. Mukesh Kumar too got his maiden wicket and soon Lord Thakur joined the act with a cracking delivery.

It was the 9th over of the game and Thakur who was expensive in his first over, produced a ripper as he often does in his second over. King was the batter and he had no answer as the ball nipped back sharply from off. It was a short of good-length delivery and ball went through between bat and pad to shatter the middle pole.

Jadeja has created an impact after King's wicket and at the time of writing, Windies are 96-6 in the 18th over. Sir Jadeja jas picked three wickets and West Indies need someone to stay with the skipper, Shai Hope if they want to put a competitive total on the board here.
