Pakistan lost the opening Test of the three-match series against England by a huge margin of an innings and 47 runs. It prompted wholesale changes in the Pakistan XI and one of them, Kamran Ghulam scored a century on the opening day to put Pakistan in a stable position after early hiccups. Now, on the second day, Sajid Khan who did not play the first Test, has shown his worth by taking a crucial wicket for his side.

Noman Ali first got the wicket of Zak Crawley and broke an opening stand of 73 runs and then Sajid Khan got the better of England vice-captain, Ollie Pope with a beauty in the 24th over of the innings. It was a classic off-spinner's wicket. A tossed up delivery, outside off. Ollie Pope leaned forward and tried to drive it away. However, the ball spun back in nicely and found the gap between bat and pad to hit the timber in style.

Duckett Leads England's Charge

Sajid was naturally very happy and pumped up after getting the wicket as he had to work hard to get a breakthrough, and Pakistan badly needed it. The home side earlier were bowled out for 366 with Jack Leach ending with a four-wicket haul. Noman Ali and Aamer Jamal scored crucial runs lower down the order after Ghulam's century but England are still in a strong position with Ben Duckett batting beautifully with his aggressive intent.
