Bangladesh's veteran batter Litton Das had a poor start to the T20I series against India, as he was dismissed cheaply in the opening fixture in Gwalior. Opening the batting for Bangladesh, Litton managed only four runs before Arshdeep Singh sent him packing. 

The incident occurred in the very first over of Bangladesh's innings after Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl first. After Parvez Hossain Emon got off the mark with a single, Litton struck a boundary to open his account. 

However, the stylish right-handed batter followed it up with a rash shot, as Arshdeep Singh got his prized scalp to draw the first blood for the home side. From over the wicket, Arshdeep bowled a good-length delivery, which went away from Litton with the angle. 


As the Bangladesh opener tried to play a lofted shot against the angle, he managed a top edge, with the ball gobbling up in the air for a long time. Rinku Singh made no mistake, placing himself nicely under the ball and taking a simple catch. 

Thus, Litton, who was expected to give the visitors a flying start, departed with only four runs under his belt.

After dismissing Litton Das, India's T20 World Cup hero Arshdeep castled his opening partner Parvez Hossain Emon for eight runs. The Bangladesh openers' casual shot selection led to their downfall, and there was absolutely nothing special with the deliveries. At the time of writing, Bangladesh were 20 for two on a batting paradise, with Najmul Hossain Shanto and Towhid Hridoy batting in the middle.
