Babar Azam is known for his consistency, but has not been in good form in recent times and it has brought him at the centre of criticism in Pakistan. He also gave up his captaincy of white-ball formats few days back and seems determined to get his batting back in order. He is working hard ahead of the first Test against England in Multan and now a video has popped up on social media where Babar is seen hitting some big shots against Pakistan bowlers.

In the video, the Pakistan batter is seen using his feet against spinners and looked in mood to hit some big shots. He also played some quality shots against against Shaheen Afridi which included some glorious cover drives and hit backfoot punches. The form he displayed in nets is a good sign for Pakistan as they need him to fire against England if they want to end their losing run.

Babar Azam Going Through Rough Patch In International Cricket

Babar Azam is a pillar of Pakistan's batting line-up and will bat at number 4. He failed in both the Tests against Pakistan which is quite rare for a player of his stature. The right-handed batter has an average of 44.51 in Tests but has a highest score of 31 in the three Test matches he has played in 2024, which he would like to rectify in the upcoming series.

Also, Pakistan have announced their playing XI ahead of the game and have brought back Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi and Aamir Jamel. The visitors England have also announced their XI and would be led by Ollie Pope in the opening Test with Ben Stokes still recovering from his hamstring injury. England whitewashed Pakistan when they last played the Test series in the country, and this one promises to be another cracking series with both teams expected to play some positive cricket.
