India's struggles continue, as KL Rahul joined his team after falling for a six-ball duck. This has been a new low for the Rohit Sharma-led side, as the middle order crumbled at the hands of New Zealand in their own home, Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium, during the second Test.

Local boy, KL Rahul looked disappointed in himself as he walked off the field immediately as Tom Blundell held on to the ball. Surprisingly, William O'Rourke also removed Virat Kohli for a nine-ball duck earlier in the match and looked to be in good form.

In the 23rd over, O'Rourke bowled a nothing delivery as he unleashed a length delivery down the leg. KL Rahul looked to flick the ball; however, he got a faint edge on it, and Blundell didn't miss the chance as he collected the ball safely. It was undoubtedly an unfortunate way to get dismissed, but he departed without troubling the scorers.

KL Rahul Dismissed For His 8th Duck In Tests

India Face Embarrassment At The Hands Of Visitors

New Zealand dominated India in the first session of the first Test, taking six wickets for just 34 runs. India's decision to bat first raised eyebrows given the overcast conditions, and the Kiwis capitalized brilliantly. Skipper Rohit Sharma and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal struggled against Tim Southee and Matt Henry's exceptional bowling.

Rohit fell for just two runs after an early LBW scare, while Virat Kohli and Sarfaraz Khan both registered ducks. By the tenth over, India found themselves at a dire 10/3. Although Rishabh Pant and Jaiswal attempted to stabilize the innings, Jaiswal was dismissed for 13 after a rain delay.

KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja also failed to score, leaving India reeling at 34/6 at lunch, with Pant unbeaten on 15. New Zealand's disciplined bowling has put India in a precarious position early in the match. Moreover, it has been an outing to forget for Rohit Sharma and Co as India have lost their sixth wicket for a score of 34, which is the lowest for them in Tests at home since 1969.
