The match between India women and New Zealand women is underway at the Dubai International Stadium in UAE. The White Ferns won the toss and invited India to field first. The decision turned out to be a masterstroke as New Zealand women's openers stitched a fifty-plus runs stand for the first wicket. 

The Indian bowlers did not look at their finest, but the fielders disappointed the most. On the 2nd ball of the 6th over, Georgia Plimmer guided Arundhati Reddy's delivery towards deep square leg, where Renuka Singh was fielding.

The RCB star bowler approached the ball casually, and what should have been a single was converted into a boundary because of the misfield.The misfield also captured Harmanpreet Kaur agitated and animated on the field as she stopped herself from shouting at Renuka, but her frustration was visible.

It was not the end of fielding woes for India as Richa Ghosh's dropped catch made things difficult for Harmanpreet Kaur-led side. On the fourth ball of the same over, Suzie Bates mistimed a shot that went straight up in the air. It should have been an easy catch for Ghosh, but she made a mess of it and drew embarrassment after that dropped catch. 

At the time of writing this article, New Zealand openers are going strong and are 65/0 after 7.2 overs. It is the tournament opener match for India as the Women in Blue are eyeing their maiden T20 World Cup title.
