[Watch] Marizanne Kapp's Wild Celebrations After Deandra Dottin's Wicket In Women's T20 WC 2024

The much-awaited T20 World Cup 2024 match between South African women and West Indies women is underway at the Dubai International Stadium. The Laura Wolvaardt-led side won the toss and elected to field first.

Their decision turned into a masterstroke as South Africa took three early wickets to leave West Indies crippled. Skipper Hayley Matthews was the first to go as Marizanne Kapp striked in her second over of the match.

Women's T20 World Cup 2024: Kapp Gets Big Fish Deandra Dottin

Kapp striked in her third over as well and got the big fish Deeandra Dottin out. Dottin looked in good touch as she started her innings with a boundary. Dottin also took on Tryon and smashed her for two boundaries. 

However, the West Indies legend struggled against Kapp and gave a simple catch to skipper Wolvaardt on the fifth ball of the 7th over. Kapp knew the importance of that wicket and made a huge roar as she celebrated the scalp.

At the time of writing this article, West Indies are 109/6 and are looking into deep trouble in their opening match of the Women's T20 World Cup 2024. Kapp has registered the spell of 2/11 in her three overs. However, Nonkululeko Mlaba has been the pick of the bowler with four wickets in her four-over spell.
