Virat Kohli once again reminded the world why he is a crowd favourite, particularly in Bengaluru, where his every move sends waves of excitement through the stands. On Day 3 of the first Test against New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the iconic batter turned the atmosphere electric with a classic knock of 70 runs and a pivotal century partnership with Sarfaraz Khan. 

His masterclass at the crease not only solidified India’s position in the match but also marked a personal milestone—he became only the fourth Indian batter to surpass 9000 runs in Test cricket, joining the elite company of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Sunil Gavaskar.

Despite a slow start, where it took him 14 deliveries to get off the mark, Kohli showcased his elegance and grit, enthralling fans with his signature drives and calculated strokes. Kohli's innings silenced any doubts about his form, proving once again that the king of Indian cricket is far from done. .

Chinnaswamy Stadium is like a second home to Virat Kohli, as he has some of his best memories here during the IPL. On Day 4, when rain interrupted the proceedings on Saturday. and delayed play , the fans grew restless, eagerly waiting for the action to resume. 

During the rain break, Virat Kohli emerged from the dressing room to check the weather, and that’s when the Chinnaswamy crowd lost its composure.

Kohli’s brief appearance on the big screen, as he walked around the dressing room, was enough to send the crowd into a frenzy. Cheers erupted, and chants of 'Kohli, Kohli' reverberated throughout the stadium as fans expressed their admiration for the superstar. The spontaneous reaction from the crowd highlighted the deep connection Kohli shares with Bengaluru.  

The fans’ love for him was undeniable as they cheered for every gesture, even when he was simply checking the status of the rain.
