Indian batters made a mockery of the Bangladesh bowling attack and created history in the 3rd T20I in Hyderabad on Saturday. They registered the highest-ever T20I total scored by a Test playing nation.

India hammered 297/6, and narrowly missed out on an opportunity to breach the 300-run mark, something which only the Nepal side have achieved. The previous best score in T20Is by a Test playing nation was registered by Afghanistan, who had slammed 278/3 Vs Ireland in 2019.

Samson blasts magnificent ton, Surya and others contribute towards milestone

This was utter carnage as almost all the batters contributed towards attaining a major milestone. The stars of the show were Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav, Riyan Parag and Hardik Pandya.

Despite losing Abhishek Sharma early in the innings, Samson was at his aggressive best as he came out to bat with a positive frame of mind. The Kerala batter played some stellar shots and reached the fifty-run mark inside 22-balls, the fastest by an Indian Vs Bangladesh.

Surya, joined the party from the other end as sixes started to rain and Bangladesh bowlers became helpless. The tried all the permutations and combinations, but nothing worked as Samson and SKY were in god mode.

Samson blasted his maiden T20I century, with 40 deliveries. Interestingly, this was the second fastest T20I ton by an Indian batter, with the top position being occupied by Rohit Sharma.

Once Surya and Samson departed, the mantle was taken care by Hardik and Riyan Parag. The duo added 70 runs inside 5 overs as India etch closer towards the unthinkable, 300-run feat. However, Bangladesh picked up a couple of wickets towards the end as India finished with a score of 297.
