The much-anticipated clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 34th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium has been hit by a delay due to persistent rain. The toss, initially scheduled to take place at 7:00 PM IST, has been postponed as officials await the weather conditions to improve.

RCB vs PBKS: Conditions For Starting The Game

If the weather clears in time, the match could still proceed as a 5-over-a-side contest, with the latest possible start time for such a game being set at 10:54 PM IST. This will allow both teams to play the reduced-format game, provided that the ground is in a playable condition.

However, given the efficiency of the Chinnaswamy Stadium's drainage system, the ground is expected to be ready for play relatively soon once the rain subsides. The stadium is equipped with the SubAir drainage system, renowned for its ability to quickly drain water and prepare the field for action.
