The Punjab Kings camp was full of smiles after their thrilling 16-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders in Mullanpur. At the centre of the joy was star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who delivered a brilliant spell of bowling and received heartfelt praise from team co-owner Preity Zinta.

Chahal provided the fans with a classic display, taking 4 wickets for 28 runs, assisting Punjab in holding on to a low score of 111. His victims included top KKR batters like Ajinkya Rahane, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rinku Singh, and Ramandeep Singh. 

This spell was his 8th four-wicket haul in the IPL, tying the all-time record held by Sunil Narine.

Preity Zinta Moved By Yuzi Chahal’s Spin Masterclass

After the match, PBKS owner and popular Bollywood actress Preity Zinta shared her excitement in a post-match chat with Yuzvendra Chahal on YouTube. She said that she was happy with the results with a big smile. She added:

“In the past, we used to lose matches that were already won. But today, we won a match that looked like it was lost!”

Meanwhile, Chahal, always witty, responded with a smile: “Woh past thi (That was the past).”

This made Preity burst into laughter. Thanks to Chahal and Marco Jansen’s 3/17, PBKS turned the game around after a tough start. 

With this performance, the leg-spinner now has 370 wickets in T20s, moving past Mohammad Nabi and Mohammad Amir to become the 11th-highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket history. 

Chahal Gets Special Appreciation From Rumoured Girlfriend

After Yuzvendra Chahal’s match-winning spell against Kolkata Knight Riders (4/28), buzz shifted to social media, thanks to a sweet post from RJ Mahvash, his rumoured girlfriend.

Mahvash shared an Instagram story featuring a cute selfie of the two taken before the match, with Chahal in his PBKS jersey. This post has fuelled further speculation about their rumoured relationship, especially since Chahal’s recent separation from his wife Dhanashree Verma. The two, Chahal and Mahvash, have been spotted together multiple times over the past few weeks.
