Indian skipper Rohit Sharma's latest encounter with a fan has once again set the internet in admiration of his profound humility and grounded-ness. His down-to-earth nature has proven why he is a revered figure amongst the masses, especially in India.

In a recent video, the T20 world-winning captain made a fan's day by wishing her a Happy Birthday in a surprising setting: the streets of Mumbai. The fan looked elated, and her excitement was palpable as she soared with the feeling of Rohit wishing her.

Skipper Rohit Makes A Fan's Day

Rohit, who is currently enjoying some time off the field after India's recent Test series victory against Bangladesh, was spotted out and about in the city in his blue Lamborghini Urus. He was waiting at the red light when a young female fan approached him. 

When he discovered from the fan's friend that it was her birthday, the 37-year-old graciously offered his heartfelt wishes and shared a handshake with the birthday girl. The girl looked happy and in disbelief, as she walked away from the car after the lucky encounter.


Rohit Leads India To Victory vs Bangladesh

Indian captain Rohit Sharma provided exemplary leadership during the Test series against Bangladesh, leading his team to an easy win of 2-0. This victory ensured India's spot at the top of the World Test Championship points table and made it another finals contender.

After a comprehensive win of 280 runs in the first Test, India had a challenge in the second game, where incessant rain washed away several sessions, but it was Rohit's sharp tactical brain and adaptability under pressure that made all the difference as India finally won on the fifth day. 

Captain Suryakumar Takes The T20 Baton

Meanwhile, after the stunning Test victory, the Indian team embarked on the three-match T20 series against Bangladesh. Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, India won the first game, the Gwalior Test. The new-look Indian team produced a clinical performance to outclass the visitors by 7 wickets and 49 balls to spare.

The Men in Blue will now be seen at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium for the upcoming second T20I on 9 October.
