Salman Agha Piles On England's Misery As He Notches Up His 3rd Test Century In Multan

The first Test between Pakistan and England witnessed yet another historic achievement, this time joining his fellow teammates is Salman Ali Agha , who slammed his third Test century at the Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan. He achieved this milestone in just 108 balls and while slamming 10 fours and three maximums. 

In the 146th over, Jack Leach bowled a flighted delivery down the leg side, Salman calmly got down on one knee and swept it down to the deep backward square leg for a single and thus ran in happiness and everyone celebrated his unique achievement.

Pakistan Dominate England On A Flat Deck

Pakistan dominated the first day of the opening Test against England due to tremendous hundreds from skipper Shan Masood and Abdullah Shafique. After losing Saim Ayub for only 4 runs on Gus Atkinson early in the day, the Masood-Shafique combination proved unstoppably formidable as they took Pakistan to 122-1 at lunch. 

The two continued their impressive display after the break, amassing 111 runs to take the score to 233-1 by tea. Masood ended a four-year wait for a century as he scored his fifth Test ton off just 102 balls. Later, Shafique celebrated his ton with a six, however he fell to the bowling of Atkinson for 118. Masood continued the momentum and went on to score 151 runs off 177 balls, thus ending the day on 328.

Then on Day 2, unity and team spirit was on full display as Saud Shakeel and Salman Ali Agha  took to the crease. Agha's positive batting style, focused on rotating the strike, was complemented by Shakeel's cautious approach. 

Despite Shakeel's dismissal for 82 by Shoaib Bashir, the team remained undeterred. Aamir Jamal's brief contribution of 7 runs was followed by a partnership between Agha Salman and Shaheen Afridi, until Afridi was sent back. At the time of writing,Pakistan are at 550/9.
