As per new IPL rules, there’s a chance Dhoni could be retained by CSK as an ‘uncapped’ player for the 2025 season. Since he hasn’t played international cricket since 2019, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) allows him to qualify as an uncapped player under its guidelines.
