Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara and his wife Puja have unveiled a heartfelt literary project amid the 2025 Indian Premier League season, where the veteran batter is currently working as an analyst.
Titled The Diary of a Cricketer’s Wife, the book, authored by Puja, delves into the untold chapters of Pujara’s career, offering a personal account of their shared journey since their marriage in 2013.
Pujara Launches Intimate Memoir Written By Wife
The couple announced the release through an emotional Instagram video, highlighting Puja’s role as both partner and chronicler of the Test stalwart’s highs and lows.
Cheteshwar Pujara, who represented India in 103 Tests between 2010 and 2023, has remained absent from national duties since the 2023 World Test Championship final.
In the video, Pujara introduced the collaboration with HarperCollins, stating, "Hey everyone! I'm Cheteshwar Pujara and I'm really excited to announce a book in partnership with HarperCollins."
Puja, reflecting on her unique vantage point, added, "Hello, this must be your journey but I'm the author of the book. I'm the one who's seen it from the non-striker's end... I truly believe that there's something for everyone in the Cheteshwar Pujara story."
The book, now available for pre-order, promises insights into Pujara’s off-field resilience, including his recent transition to commentary during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and his 2021 IPL triumph with Chennai Super Kings.
Despite Cheteshwar Pujara's 19 Test centuries and three double-tons, the 36-year-old’s exclusion from India’s Test setup post-2023 marks a poignant backdrop to the memoir’s release.
