India have been a dominant team in world cricket for quite a long time now. They are almost unbeatable at home and are also the T20 World Champions. Now, after whitewashing Bangladesh in the three-match T20I series, they are the only team to register 10 clean sweeps in the bilateral T20I series with three or more matches.

In the 34 bilateral T20I series, India have registered clean sweeps in 10 series while second in the list is Pakistan with eight clean sweeps in 32 series. Afghanistan follow Pakistan with six clean sweeps in 16 series. The fourth in the list is Australia with five clean sweeps in 25 series and England are fifth with four clean sweeps in 26 series.

India topping this list displays how ruthless Indian cricket team has been in the last decade or so. The journey started with MS Dhoni leading the charge with a win in the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007 and Virat Kohli took the mantle forward. Rohit Sharma took over the leadership after the 2021 T20 World Cup and in between Hardik Pandya also did a great job as T20I skipper.

Suryakumar Yadav Carrying Forward Rohit Sharma's Legacy

Now, Suryakumar Yadav is India's permanent T20I skipper and the Men in Blue have not lost a single series under his captaincy. Team India has shown an ultra-aggressive approach under him and the new head coach, Gautam Gambhir. All three matches in the recently concluded T20I series against Bangladesh turned out to be one-sided affairs, with India proving too hot to handle.

India's next T20I series is against South Africa in November and it will be a four-match series between the two finalists of the T20 World Cup 2024.
