On Saturday, October 12, India's star keeper-batter Rishabh Pant took to Instagram, where he shared a video of him engaging in a game of gully cricket with his fans. In the video, Pant appeared to be on a set, where he played a gully cricket match.

Similar to gully cricket rules, Pant tossed the coin and made the rules clear that if the ball hit the adjacent walls, the batter would be declared out. Further, 'One tip one hand' and 'Three miss out' were other forms of dismissals cleared by Pant before the match went on.

“Deewar par direct lagna out (Hitting the wall directly is out), one-tip one-hand is out, three beats out," explained Pant.

Rishabh engaged in a few one-liners, which he has made a name for himself, but hogged the headline for one portion in the video, where he teases the opponent by ending the game as per his will because he owned the bat.

Remarkable Return To Test Cricket

Eyes would be on Pant as India gear up for the home challenge against New Zealand starting on October 18. On Friday, October 11, BCCI released the squad for the upcoming tour and it features Pant. The DC skipper made a return to Test cricket against Bangladesh and shone in that series.

Against Bangladesh, Pant scored 161 runs in four innings and averaged 53.67. He also smashed a century on his Test return after nearly two years following the fatal car crash he suffered on December 30, 2022.

India have crucial Test tours coming up and one of them being the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which is essential for both teams eyeing to reach the finals. Thus, Pant is an important member of that series as several Australian star players too have touted Rishabh as the player to watch out for.
