The Pakistan women’s team recorded a huge win over West Indies to remain unbeaten in the World Cup qualifiers. In other news, the CSK and SRH franchises have named injury replacements of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Adam Zampa respectively.

MS Dhoni Finishes It Off In Style For CSK

CSK snapped its five-match losing streak by recording a last-over win over LSG in match 30 of the IPL 2025 season in Lucknow. The LSG batted first and amassed 166-7 from 20 overs courtesy of captain Rishabh Pant’s fiery 49-ball 63. For the CSK, senior spinner Ravindra Jadeja and fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana picked up two wickets each in the innings.

Chasing 167, CSK slipped to 111-5 in 15 overs after the fall of well-set batters Rachin Ravindra (37 off 22), Shaik Rasheed (27) and others to Ravi Bishnoi, Digvesh Rathi, Avesh Khan and Aiden Markram. With 56 to get from 30 balls, MS Dhoni bludgeoned 26* off 11 deliveries to steer CSK past the finishing line alongside Shivam Dube (43* off 37).

Pakistan Women Remain Unbeaten In Qualifiers

Pakistan Women upstaged West Indies by 65 runs in Lahore to maintain their unbeaten run this ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Qualifiers. Batting first, the ‘Women in Green’ bundled out for 191 in 49.5 overs, with number three Sidra Amin herself minting 54 of those runs from 94 balls. Hayley Matthews, Karishma Ramharack and Afy Fletcher all picked up two wickets each for the West Indies.

As it turned out, Fatima Sana (3-16), Rameen Shamim (2-26) and Nashra Sandhu (2-31) folded up West Indies for just 126 in 39.2 overs as Pakistan recorded its third successive win this tournament.

Lockie Ferguson Ruled Out Indefinitely From IPL 2025

New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson has been indefinitely ruled out of the IPL 2025 season. The Punjab Kings franchise confirmed the development on their social media accounts. Ferguson pulled up while bowling during PBKS’ match against the SRH a couple of days ago in Hyderabad. Prior to bowling just two balls against SRH, the cricketer picked up five wickets in just three matches for the Punjab Kings. He bowled some tight wicket-taking spells against CSK and LSG earlier in the competition.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Zampa Replacements Named By CSK, SRH

The CSK franchise has signed 17-year-old Mumbai opener Ayush Mhatre as an injury replacement for team captain Ruturaj Gaikwad for the IPL 2025 season. The SRH franchise also roped in Karnataka’s batting prodigy Smaran Ravichandran as a replacement for injured Australian cricketer and star spinner Adam Zampa.

Gaikwad was ruled out of IPL 2025 owing to an elbow injury, prompting the CSK management to appoint MS Dhoni as captain instead. Zampa was also ruled out of the competition after playing just a couple of matches due to an injury.

Sahibzada Farhan Ton Hands Babar’s Zalmi A Record Defeat

Islamabad United secured a huge 102-run win over Peshawar Zalmi at Rawalpindi in match five of the PSL 2025 season. Batting first, opener Sahibzada Farhan blasted 106 runs from just 52 balls with 13 boundaries and five huge sixes as the United mounted 243-5 from 20 overs. Agha Salman, Jason Holder and Ben Dwarshuis also smeared explosive cameos at the death.

In response, Imad Wasim’s three-wicket haul and two wickets each from Dwarshuis and Shadab Khan folded up Peshawar Zalmi for just 141 in 18.2 overs, despite Mohammad Haris’ 47-ball 87.
