Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya once again showed his sweet and kind side by making a heartwarming gesture for a young woman cricketer. He gifted a special bat to Kashvee Gautam, a rising star who plays for Gujarat Giants in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025. Hardik had promised to gift her this bat after the WPL Eliminator match, and he kept his word.

Pandya Fulfills His Promise With A Special Bat For Kashvee Gautam

Kashvee has always looked up to Hardik Pandya and even wrote "HP33" (Hardik’s jersey number) on her bat. During one of Gujarat’s matches in the WPL, Pandya met Kashvee. Her teammates told Hardik how much she admired him and tried to follow in his footsteps.

Touched by this, Hardik made a promise; he would customize one of his bats to match Kashvee’s preference, which is a 1100-gram bat, and gift it to her.

Before MI's match against Delhi Capitals in Delhi, Hardik fulfilled his promise. He handed over the signed bat to Kashvee in a truly special moment and also congratulated her on her India call-up. Kashvee was all smiles and shook hands with the MI skipper, clearly overjoyed by the gift.

Kashvee Gautam Earns Maiden Call-up For Tri-Series

Kashvee Gautam had an impressive season with Gujarat Giants. She took 11 wickets in 9 matches, with an average of 18.18 and an economy rate of 6.45. She also played a few important innings with the bat. Her excellent performance helped her get selected for the Indian women's team for the upcoming tri-series against Sri Lanka and South Africa. 

This series is part of India’s preparations for the Women’s ODI World Cup, scheduled to be played in September and October 2025.
